Public service has been part of my life for many years. It has been my privilege to serve you and our community as your elected public official on the Board of Township Trustees of Anderson Township.
I have been dedicated to maintaining the high level of basic services the township provides you, such as fire and emergency medical service, police, road maintenance and repair, and snow removal.
There have been times when foresight and initiative were necessary to bring about changes which would forever enhance our township. I recall going to Columbus to address the state legislature promoting the change in state law which would allow Anderson Township to launch the first-ever Ohio township greenspace preservation program. This very successful program has preserved and maintained over 670 acres to date.
My background in finance was beneficial in Anderson’s receiving a credit rating of “Aa” from Moody’s Investors Service, the highest ever awarded an Ohio township.
While it is gratifying to reflect on past accomplishments and achievements, the economic uncertainty of our future will require continued conservative stewardship and fiscal responsibility. Our actions to achieve budget cuts with no reduction in services must continue. Our goal is to keep property values high without additional tax levies.
As your trustee I will continue to strive to improve the quality of life in Anderson.
Sincerely,
Peggy D. Reis
